Winner of the Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Award for Excellence in Journalism
"The York Project: Race and the 2008 Vote," an NPR News production that included an online Flash presentation, showcases the views of Pennsylvania voters in the 2008 Presidential election. The production features a series of conversations with citizens of York, PA, considering how issues of race affected their voting decisions.
The duPont-Columbia judges praised the piece for "creating a safe atmosphere, allowing interviewees to speak for themselves" and for "bringing out voices from the middle of the spectrum that we rarely hear."
Skoubo Graphics created the Flash coding/graphics for the online component of the news production.
