Usability Study Improves RMPBS Website
A usability study revealed that we could increase the site effectiveness by reorganizing content. The previous site was “department centric” with navigational terms used within the station—but not always clearly understood by the public. Tests were conducted to assure that new navigational words would be meaningful to television viewers of a wide range of ages and backgrounds.
Programs, Programs, Programs
The primary interest of the online audience is the broadcast schedule and program information. The program schedules main page helps users find their station by call letters or location. Resources such as a printable text schedule, program website links, streaming previews, videos and a network status report are also available. Dynamic modules allow the broadcast schedule to be easily updated. |
