Ray Charles–Genius Loves Company, winner of eight Grammys including “Best Surround Mix” and “Album of the Year,” is an outstanding collection of duets, a collaboration between masters of blues, soul, roots, rock and country, and the remarkable Ray Charles.

Many recording sessions for Ray Charle's last album, Genius Loves Company, were conducted in Ray’s studio in a single day. Fourteen renowned musicians creatively collaborated with Ray Charles, including B.B. King, Elton John, Norah Jones, Natalie Cole, Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt and Van Morrison.

Producers Phil Ramone, John Burk, Terry Howard and Herbert Waltl, worked with Al Schmitt and other talented engineers to create the original Ray Charles–Genius Loves Company album and additional surround mixes.

SuperDisc: Music Every Way You Want It
Monster Music produced the Ray Charles–Genius Loves Company SuperDisc, a compilation of music DVD and CD including high definition surround mixes, high definition and 2-channel stereo and digital music files to download and play on computer or MP3 player.

The Ray Charles–Genius Loves Company highly collaborative project, involved numerous teams of talented artists and technicians. Skoubo Graphics worked with AM-DVD and Bernie Ganoot to produce music playlist graphics and animations for the Genius Loves Company DVD. Integrating the color scheme and typography from the original Ray Charles CD, the DVD graphics creates a low-light ambiance enhancing the innate mood of the music. It is an honor to participate in this project—one of excellence, creativity and incredible music.
